Optima Yellow top- deep cycle if you drive rarely
Optima Red top - if you drive semi- daily

Deep cycle batteries, like the yellow top designed for marine use, do present a problem. They will take, even demand, as much power as your charging system can put out. Forcing your alternator to run at or near max load for an extended period of time. This leads to over heating of the alternator and premature burnout. Depending on how often you drive the car this can actually happen within weeks or months! I'd go red top myself...

I have had an Optima red top for over five years. Car can sit for months and fire right up. Make sure your charging system is in good order, they are not happy with rapid overcharging.

Some time ago I bought a two year gaurentee Walmart battery for my Jeep. As fate would have it about 18 months later it went bad. Turns out I had an electrical problem and it wasn't the battery after all. Anyway, took it back, got a new one, no 'pro-rated' time for use, straight up, got a new one. I hate Walmart, I only shop there when no ones watching, sshhhh, don't tell anyone...

Jesu Christo, go to your local Ford dealer and get a good, honest Autolite battery, not that spendy, and the mechanics will get familiar with your car!
