Oil sending unit?
I didn't save the old one and the new one I got doesn't work, so my question is what part # or vehicle do you replace it with, has to work for a VDO gauge and read in bars 0-6 to be exact

You need the VDO sending unit, 0-80psi units work for the bar gauges (I think the gauge insides are the same it is just a different face plate).

Are you looking for the oil pressure or temp. sending unit? Your pic shows the press. unit, but no temp. The P/N above is for the press. sending unit. I would think the temp. sending unit should be placed either in the oil flow or down in the pan to get an accurate oil temp. reading. Putting it in the "dead" leg to the press sending unit won't show much. |
