Bizarre Occurrence...
Some friends called me this afternoon (one has a '73 Javelin/AMX & the other has a '66 Chevelle) & told me to bring the Cobra over to the Route 66 Grill (Canyon Country, CA) monthly car show. Well... I gave in, drove home, changed my shoes, & drove over. When I've been there in the past, was mostly rods & classics, but was surprised this time to find FOUR other Cobras there... a Factory Five and THREE Backdrafts! So, with mine there, we had FOUR Backdrafts at this little monthly parking lot car show. But wait, it gets better... I think all three were also running 427 big blocks with dual quads. I'm running a small block 427, so we had FOUR 427s in attendance! What are the odds of that? It's rare, at least around here. Flew out the door without my camera, but will hopefully find a pic online somewhere.
The other three were much newer than mine. All were sporting the 17" knockoffs & one had Smith's electronic gauges. Also had a color spread... Rosso Red w/ white stripes, Indigo Blue w/ white stripes & a silver (no stripes) Nice stuff. Think I'll buy a Lotto ticket tonight! |
Strange happenings
Slick, where is the Route 66 Grill and when is the next show? I'll try to make it. #595 BDR.:)

I used to live off McBean Pkwy. Watched them build Cal Arts, Magic Mountain and the dam. Stopped for fuel at lyons, made a wrong turn and wound up almost up to the Honor Rancho. Who moved all the streets?
