Now THAT looks intersting.......

You will have to call the Casino Queen for the discount. The price is $75 but they don't have a way to give you the discount on line. You can get all the info at www.runngun.net

The last day for early registration is July 31st so if you haven't registered, you can still save $100!

It is really going to be a great year at R&G this go around! We have a lot of surprises in store for you.

Bailey 07-21-2008 04:13 PM

Thanks again for the tireless efforts, Dean.
Check left with the mail man this morning.
Starting the sleepless nights..... only another twelve weeks to go.....

WildBill3 07-21-2008 05:44 PM

Go Richard Go I wish you lived closer I would give you a hand,oh well give it your best, see you ther.WB3

Clois Harlan 07-22-2008 05:13 AM

Richard,

You mean you're not going to have that beautiful beast you drove last year? Great !, maybe I will have a chance at a trophy this year. :)

Dean and I are going to meet with Gateway in a couple of weeks to order the trophy's and awards. All new and some worthy of the fireplace mantel or office book case.

We only have 18 garage spaces left at this time so if you think you are going to need a garage you need to send in your garage rental fee asap. The Wednesday test n Tune seminar will be put on by Mid Coast Performance and they are at the forefront of chassis design and race application. This seminar will allow us to look at the best set up for our application and then determine what would be the best upgrades in our budget. As most of you know the seminars are free but if you want to participate in the Test n Tune portion of on the track the cost will be $100. If you have been to any of our other Test n Tune Wednesday's you know this is a terrific value. You basically have unlimited track time after the seminar.

Around the first of August Dean and I will be publishing a schedule of all the seminars that are scheduled during this years Run n Gun Nationals. Since some of the seminars are geared toward first time owners/builders they will be running concurrent with the event. Most seminars will be last approximately 1 hour but the instructors/speakers will be at the track for the duration of the meet. This way you can have some one on one time for questions.

I am looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces and many new ones this year.

I cain't wait for Run n Gun! Always have had a blast and everyone has always been really helpful. Rick Lake is a guy that will help anyone. He has saved my butt a couple of times. I owned the car which we pulled the motor out of it 4 times during the event. (It was a Lister though and not the Dragon. In the Dragon you do not have to pull the engine to change the clutch!)
I have been working feverishly to have my new car ready for the event. It is a daily street driver, not a race car. And, shockingly to some, it is a Cobra! Check out my web site www.chesnutmotorsports.com if you want to see my new Hot Rod pick up truck too.
I look forward to seeing you all there. John Chesnut

Awesome John,
Your vehicles are always an inspiration. Is Brian White bringing that awesome mega shiny Dragon?
Cheers,
Richard

Clois Harlan 07-23-2008 05:56 AM

As Richard said John, beautiful work. Is that arruminium I see? :)

However, John I am a little suspicious about your "Street Cruiser". My guess is that it will have one of Jeff Schwartz' LS X engines with twin Turbo's and put out about 1000 hp. But, I could be wrong! :) :)

We are looking forward to seeing you and your Dragons and Cobras (sounds like some video game).

Hi Clois, I wish I had the funds to build a car with one of Schawartz's 1000hp motors! My new Cobra only has 400hp. But it gets 30mpg! Maybe you could add a fuel economy run to Run n Gun! I am almost done with the Cobra. It goes to paint tomorrow. I also have NEW photos of my Hot Rod that uses the Cobra chassis on my web site. www.chesnutmotorsports.com. These are new since my last posting.
Also, the final version of the chassis which I will post pictures of soon is a steel space frame with a welded in "Torque Tunnel" (my terminology) with aluminum skins. It weighs 300lbs and is strong and stiff. With the C5/6 vette suspension, brakes, steering, and diff I am going for great balance and handling. We will see soon if it works the way that I hope.
I look forward to seeing you all in Oct. John

Clois, 4 more garages sold yesterday to the guys from Suger Grove. That brings us down to only 14 left. It is going to be a sell out this year.

John, I can't wait to see your project this year. Your work is always top notch!

Clois Harlan 07-28-2008 05:21 AM

Count me in. I sent my check today. We will have another BDR in the mix. This will be my first RNG. Thanks to Richard B. & Reg Dodd, I'm on my way up. I've had my car for just over a year and started out as one of those show & shine guys. One day with Richard and I was converted to a track guy. Never have had more fun. All I've heard for a year is that the RNG is the one must attend event of the year. Can not wait to get there.

Looking forward meeting/running with everyone.

dlampe 08-13-2008 08:38 PM

There are only 3 or 4 garage spaces left so if you want a garage you will need to get $60 to Clois ASAP!

Looking forward to seeing you in October.

JUS BIT 08-13-2008 09:02 PM

Welcome to Run-n-Gun Deadbeattle! That's great that you are coming. I will look forward to meeting another BDR guy. We will have a great time, both on the track and off. See you soon...

James

Bailey 08-14-2008 05:01 AM

Hey James, looking forward to catching up.
BTW really nice articles in KC magazine. Now all we need is the Speedster running in October.

Clois Harlan 08-14-2008 05:45 AM

Deadbeatle,

Thank you for committing to Run N Gun '08 and you can believe everything Richard say's about RNG, it is a blast and you are going to have a great time. I bet we see your car in Kit Car by December?

By the way if the "Deadbeatle" is referring to a Volkswagen then you and Dean Lampe may have something in common...

Clois
