Wow, surprisingly reasonable rates.
Of course then there's the insurance. In Orlando, we saw a place that rents supercars, no Cobras last Spring, but who knows now. Skyview Exotics was the name; (407)761.7463. |
I like your idea but Cobras are an aquired taste, like beer. I'll never forget the first one I rode in, I thought who in their right mind would buy this thing. I am on my third and appreciate all aspects except the constant waves, horn blowing, people yelling at me at stop lights, the endless questions, blah blah blah.

David,
MaddMaxx is aboslutely correct...the Cobra is not like any other vehicle. The Cobra is small, quick from the line, handles very well in the curves and is scarry fast. Now, it doesn't have a lot of refinements such as power windows, electric adjustable seats, cruise control or a GPS system. The very best things about the Cobra are it's simplistic-aggressive yet beautiful styling, monster motors, extreme speed and handling and that never ending WOW FACTOR! It's been said that you can park a Corvette, a Viper, a T-Bird, a Hot Rod ford Coupe and a Fire truck next to a Cobra, and everyone will be in awe of the Cobra. People wave at you an smile as you drive by, old folks that know what a Cobra is get all silly when asking questions about your Cobra, and there is no end to the complements you'll get, one thing for sure..it's always a Thumbs Up! from everyone. So if this turns you on David, just go buy one and experience all this stuff first hand. Best Regards, Bill WOW! |
All the posts are spot on. I think it was Mr.M who mentioned Vegas, they do still rent as of about 2 months ago anyway. These Toys become a seductive mistress very quickly, you will always want more...
Find the Cobra gathering or club near you and get to know that gang and their cars. I bet a ride or two would not be hard to find but do not count on anyone offering you their mistress for the evening and that is a good thing. Without at least the fear of pissing away a pile of $$$ if/when you wreck the car and it is yours to fix. They will hurt you or others because that is what is was built to do if not respected. I gotta believe the cars that are rented in Vegas are way de-tuned but still wrecked on a frequent basis. The rental clerks must just grin as they ask you what your insurance limits are, collect the deductable in cash and load your insur. claims department phone number in their speed dialer. |
