Part # for speedometer cable Backdraft #165
I have car #165 with tremmec 3550 and 3:10 rear gears I "think"
Has reverse read autometer speedo with a small gearbox attached to speedo My cable snapped at transmission gear and I need brand-part # of cable Also I was thinking shaft could just be replaced but it won't pull out of outer sheath so it looks like have to replace whole assembly also where do you get replacement gears as mine has always read 10 miles faster than car was going, it has yellow gear now Thanks in advance |
You should pose that question on Backdraft Boys;
http://www.backdraftboys.com/forum/ Lots more dealer and manufacturer traffic there for BDRs. Steve |
We buy our cables and gears from Mustangs Unlimited. They have a helpful table in their catalog that explains what gear (color) to use depending on your rear ratio etc. I usually just order the longest speedo cable they stock so it can be installed with a graceful bend.
Best thing is to ditch the Autometers though, the gauges are all prone to fail. We've been through the ringer on their speedos especially. |
Hi trs900,
I stock cable reversers, speedo cables in numerous lengths and have all the speedo gears to calibrate your speedo. I also have the pigtail for electronic speedos & speedo plugs to block off the speedo opening on the TKO when you are going with electronic speedo. |
