Mirrors Now Available for Backdraft/SPF/All Replicas

Replica owners, we finally got in our new Mirrors for any replica. These are on our Backdraft's and will fit just about every thing out there with wind wings on them. Made from billet aluminum, we are using a convexed style lens. Other size heads are available. These are fully functional, no more looking thru your wind wing to see your mirror. Nice and clear, we have several sets on the track and they are really excited how well they can use them. We have several sets now ready to ship. $250.00 plus shipping for the set. Give me a call at 859-630-9099 ask for Bill

Windbreak effect

Wow those mirrors look great! The wind wings seem in the photos as if they've had their mounts reversed to make room for the mirror mounts, resulting in a wider space between windwing and windshield frame. If this is so, what effect I wonder does that have on the effectiveness of the windbreak effect of the wings? Is there a significant reduction in the wind protection as air flows through this gap?

Blittleton 03-23-2009 02:58 PM

There is little to no effect on the wind wings from the wider gap. The gap is minimal. There hasn't been any complaints on these at all. you are right about reverse hardware though. We simply trade the left to the right.

Bill,

By "set" do you mean two mirrors for $250?

Mirrors

Unique but costly.

Adjusting the wind wing affect the mirror position?

jdean,

2 mirrors complete with hardware. $250.00 plus shipping. If you have a raydot already and it is a Backdraft I will have all the needed hardware. If you don't have raydots, not extra hardware needed. Just let me know if you do or don't have raydots.

If you need to adjust the wind wings, yes you will need to adjust the mirror. The mirror stem will act as a stop on it. It will allow you to open up the windwing so you can get in and out with a top on.

Hello all,
Two fifty for two mirrors plus ship? Do you get a bl*w job too? I don't care if it is made from billet alum, whoopee. Excuse me, I'm an old fly fisher and they screw us there too! I guess I'm kidding?????????????????? I haven't even received my rod #spo2765 and the power steering, cruise, and air will push it out of sight! Ok, I've just had my 2nd Grey Goose martini and now things are going a little smoother. Or things seems a little smoother. My bark is harmless. Hope to join you soon. 209
