I can definitely attest to this. Absolutely no issues with the T-5 - even with the 3.91 rear and sticky Nitto tires....

And here I thought I was going to be called in to check it out...and bang on his door if there were any problems. He even went to my high school per some Google searches...albeit 9 years later....

Definitely can't go wrong getting one from Jay...

TNT Engineering Premium Ford Engine Builders

Hi folks I'm one of the T's in TNT Engineering.

Just to set the record straight.
I'm a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in Pa, practicing for 32 years. Building Ford related cars and engines for 30 years.

I was a previous member of SAE and very active in the Ford engine market. We are also members of SAAC.

Seems like there are alot of uninformed people talking about things they have no clue about and directing it at an entity they no nothing about.

We specialize in very high end Ford engines that we sell all over the world.

We build and race cars, for example in LaCarrera Panamericana....check it out.

We have numerous repeat customers and specialize in customer sevice well after the sell.

We are currently building an original Boss 429, Boss 302's, stroker 427 Side Oilers and twin supercharged engines, along with many of our base engines.

We have a massive beautiful display at 3 of the Carlisle Events located in the manufacturers midway with Ford engines on display and running.

If you are in the market and want to talk Ford engines for your next project please call 484-824-5629 ask for Tony.

Thank you for your time !!

To Mr. TNT,

Good for you to speak up for yourself against someone who continually ridicules all who don't buy into his shtick...

You are correct...uninformed responses. The typical negative vibe from this guy.

Then to top it, he hijacks the thread for his own promotion. You must realize this forum is about his business and him alone.

Cashburn 10-29-2010 12:37 PM

Flapping in the wind again...

I asked if it had a reground crank, turns out it did.
I asked if the party was a legitimate Backdraft Dealer and listed on the BDR site, turns out they are not.
Someone asked if the T-5 was rebuilt, sounds like it was.
A poster asked if the forum had heard of TNT, the answer was no.

Just the facts my boy.

cbreez 10-29-2010 02:27 PM

Is your statement, "I think it must be one of those quickie NJ engine shops" a fact?

Explain to all how you can call out a business unknown to you in a disparaging way. If you make a factual statement, let's hear you back it up with some credible evidence to support what you say...

Like today's political ads, negative and without fact.

Are you a "quickie whatever" shop?

BTW, even if the crank has been turned, it doesn't mean at all that it is no good. Most knowledgeable machine shop and engine builders know that. Just because you sell new engines that you don't build, why knock someone providing value for a customer with their talent and knowledge?

If you ship or sell a car to someone in another city, are you in the "backyard" to fix it?

Cashburn 10-29-2010 03:38 PM

Most answers to your questions you will never experience because you will never be a customer of ours, thankfully.

There is plenty of documentation on this forum to backup the trials and travails of a couple NJ engine shops that I don't need to go further and you are welcome to search on this forum and make off the cuff remarks to those threads. You probably would have made the same complaints about my posts regarding T&L a few years ago. Again, 30 seconds of searching and you have the answers...

In regards to the crankshaft you cannot compare the price of a new engine with new parts from a top notch builder (with national recognition ie. Roush, Keith Craft, PE, blah blah) to a regional builder's engine with rehabbed parts.

The only consistently negative poster is you and if you want to continue it simply gets locked and lost ... so be it. Glad you are so thrilled and supportive of a one post "contributor". It's clear as day.

I'm not so sure this statement is a good resume builder. I know for a fact that they let anyone who can fog a mirror into that club. I know. I'm one of those "mirror foggers."

Hmmm, I wonder why my application is "still under consideration" after over four years?%/

Well, there is some verbiage buried in the SAAC bylaws about, well, you know, the two roll bar thing.

Upon further review, painted distributor caps and poorly polished AN fittings that were formerly red and blue may disqualify you from membership too. :D

Yes, but remember when I convinced Evan that I had been let in to the registry because of my self-cancelling wipers and original dash knob? Ahh, those were the days....

cbreez 10-29-2010 04:23 PM

Far be it fair that TNT defends itself against Cashburn's unsolicited, disparaging remarks. Now their response is being nitpicked...Wow, you guys are something.

I keep forgetting, this is HIS forum...

RodKnock 10-29-2010 04:32 PM

Oops, I'm lost. I forgot that this is a BDR forum. I also forgot that this thread is over a year old.

Maybe we start a thread entitled "Where's Evan?" and see if someone can spot him somewhere in the world using GPS.

Cashburn 10-29-2010 04:58 PM

Now that it is my forum I officially ban cbreez from the forum. Glad we got that established.

after all the help you provide me [ thank you very much]with the visuals of your engine and the triple spring back-up for the throttle movement supporting the discussions as to why a fellow Cobra owner crashed due to an alleged stuck throttle, remember, I refuse to believe you can't fog a mirror. Do you want me to talk to somebody at SAAC about your membership, duel rollbars covered with black sponge and secured by black electrical taped, notwithstanding? tin-man

Patrick, all in good fun pal, all in good fun. No harm, no foul.

ERA Chas is the affable curmudgeon with whom I occasionally cross swords. He's getting up in years though, here's a pic of him:
