rotors and axles
Can anyone reccomend someone to change my rear axels from 4 to 5 lug and the rotors also? I can buy the kit but just don't seem to have the time or space to do it. Thanks

axle conversion
I just got my first Cobra and I too need to convert my Fox body axles. I live in Marin, but I'm willing to bring my rear end anywhere in the Bay Area you guys recommend. This is only the first of many questions I'll have for all of you Cobra experts out there.
Thanks, Jeff Broussard jeffandre1@aol.com 415-309-5341 |
John:
where in Sunnyvale are you? (I'm near Inverness and Wolf.) Changing out axles shouldn't be too difficult. IIRC, four bolts are removed on each side and the axles slide out. At that point, you want to replace the seals. I guess you could get axles either at a salvage yard or try Mustang Ranch in Santa Cara; Steve, the owner, has built his FFR MkIII so he should be of great help to you. I'd recommend him if you just want him to do the conversion + rotors. He goes by "PANAVIA" on this forum. |
We would love to help. -- since it is an FFR it should be pretty easy- and we can obtain the FR kits from our distributor--
I am in Las Vegas over the next couple of days , but we can see you at the beginning of the week and get it done for you! --send me a PM for contact details. Steve "Panavia" |
