Great bunch of mechanics and owners there. They helped me diagnose my steering issue with my mustangs power control valve. They rebuilt the obsolete part and made it new again.

The Mustang Ranch in Nevada? They work on on cars too?

No RodgerH , :) The only true automotive "Mustang Ranch" has been owned and operated since 1981 in santa clara as a FORD performance center.

http://www.newmustangranch.com

I reorganized it a couple of years ago to be Every-Mans Car shop, and I think we do well now, we are a Roush And Shelby Parts and Engines Dealer and authorized repair center.

We have close ties to Superformance, Roush , Shelby , and Scott Drake. --as well as many others.

--what Lane is speaking of can be a problem in The Hydraulic systems of older vintage cars when Silicone brake fluid gets mixed (unintentionally ) with natural brake/hydraulic fluid. (like say a Castrol GT-LMA, mixed with a BMW Blue or a Royal Purple)

In Lanes case, at some point someone had added or mixed the fluids in his hydraulic clutch cylinder system. This had the effect of chemically braking down the hydraulic seals chafing off little bits of rubber and making them swell and shed internally rendering his hydraulic clutch system just about useless. ( jammed and or sluggish operation )

Bob and I spent some time investigating and figured out the issue , to confirm we had 2 short calls with Willwood and superformance , they concurred that this was in fact it.

Since we are a Willwood direct reseller , - they put the parts on priority shipment to us (overnight) Thursday for installation and testing Friday , and we were able to return lanes Cobra to him for Halloween.

Additionally we upgraded the slave cyl to a wilwood part , and the best part -- Lane is a Happy camper!

See you guys soon, Thank you to all!

PS: I will put this up on the transmission thread as well.

No Panavia, I knew who the company is.

Just a bit of humor on a slow Saturday night for CC. (Did you miss, or just choose to ignore, the laughing smiley?) Don't be so sensitive!

BTW, according to wikipedia (and we all know what a factual source that site is!) the other Mustang Ranch first opened in 1971. Since it opened first, is it the real one?

Sorry RodgerH -- I was not trying to come down on ya. -- but with a name like ours it comes up always .

I was going to do a Mustang Ranch calendar but that would be crossing the line.

Just a note -- we never heard from them until someone started it up again a few years ago.

Note: I also fixed the wikepedia entry.
