I have one and its best thing for someone that doesn't have the room or budget for a 2 or 4 post lift.

If what you really want (and have room for) is a full on lift, you will be disappointed. If you are presently using jack stands, you will love a Kwik-Lift.
I have a little prefab one car garage with a wooden floor and low ceiling where my spf lives. A real lift is not an option. I have a Kwik-Lift and love it. |
I too have a low ceiling and am very happy with my Kwik-Lift. My only complaint is that my movable crossmember is too wide (must be designed for hugemobiles) and if I ever want to use it I will have to find someone who can remove a section and reattach it. It is too heavy a gauge for my MIG welder. Rich

Thanks, Terry, I will give Rudy a call. I've never needed to use the crossmember, but if I ever need to do something like drop the transmission :eek: it would really come in handy. Rich

I have had one for years and love it. And my cross member works ok as it will fit the inside groves when I have it at a width for the Cobra. The only thing I changed was I back my car on and I had to get some of that rough finish tape like they use on boats as the powder coating finish is slick and if the tires have any moisture at all on them they want to spin when backing on. I put a strip of that on each side in the center and it has been there since 1998 when I got them.

As you can see. There is plenty of room to get under the car on a creeper and do just about anything. In the next couple weeks. Or you can build your own!
The ramps and center pieces ("bridges") are removable so that you can roll underneath on a creeper for maintenance. About $250 in materials and some elbow grease. :D A few more pics in my gallery with the ramps/bridges removed (old pic attached).
