The weather report looks grim, so I'll probably bring my vehicle whose windshield wipers work. But since this is a Chevvy thing, I guess that'll be OK. And I'll bring a tape measure to see how well the new bowtie will fit in my ole C4. Rich

Unfortunately I'll have to miss Wednesdays extravaganza due to work.

Steve,

Thanks again for hosting the GMPP/E-Rod event at the Mustang Ranch today! Great turn out and an excellent lunch from Bucca De Beppo.

Randy Rosenberg 03-31-2010 05:14 PM

Doug said it... Thanks!

Me three. That was too short to post.

badrich 03-31-2010 08:37 PM

Excellent. If I blow up my C4 autocrossing it, I now have a quick fix. Not painless, but as good as it gets. I even saw my corvette club's autocross director there. She wants more oomph in *her* C4. :D Rich

All,

Thank you for coming down today, I learned a great deal and I am impressed with the GMPP offering in the ERod concept.

There will be follow-on presentations with GMPP and many others, we will try to bring you manufacturers, vendors and information to help you with your project.

I do hope that the GMPP offerings are complimented with more variations in their line, and with that of other manufacture, giving the marketplace and the enthuisast choices.

Rich,

Mim is a good friend , and I am sure we will be reviewing Her C4 autocross machine. -- note : we are now the only Bay Area shop that will touch a First Gen ZR1. after all it was designed by lotus, which subscribes to the British book of complications. :)

See you guys soon !

Pictures on the way.

Steve

Great Event at the Mustang Ranch. Thanks Steve for arranging and hosting the GM E-ROD motor / 55 Chevy visit. Dennis Peck from Dynamic Auto West was there as well, with some photos and literature regarding the Superformance Corvette Grand Sport … never seen such cool GM stuff in a Ford place !

Looks like a great event. For those who missed out and would like to catch the E-ROD in person, Hillbank and Superformance are having an open house Saturday, April 17 from 10am-3pm featuring the E-ROD! The shop is at 6 Autry in Irvine, California. There's a press release below with the details.

Got the Bug 04-27-2010 02:26 PM

They just announced a manual 6 speed transmission for the E-Rod package.

Am I the ONLY one that thinks that motor, in fact all the LS series motors, look like a piece of crap???

I mean, just LOOK at those valve covers, for instance. I'd be ashamed to open the hood, seriously.

Well certainly when compared to a SOHC FE with Webers like Al's. :)

There's a nice big plastic Corvette plate that covers all of that up. Sure it looks like crap...you just don't ever open your hood up. :D
