Ron, Snakes to the Lake was the best , most relaxing stressless trip I have ever been on and there are no rules other than have fun and enjoy yourself.
Multiple routes to Tahoe offered so you can go anyway you want and with different groups who always made us feel welcome. Tequila parties at 5pm both days starting at 5pm with ribs, chicken and an array of other foods both days. It lasted several hours. Free breakfast right off the menu every morning with great service and friendly staff at the hotel. This for only $30 to sign up and participate. And, they have a raffle and give away a bunch of the money for that $30 at the parties. Ron , keep tabs on BACC as the post regular drives and functions virtually every week. I have seen only a few special posted drives in Norcal this year but know they have several cliques that do drives and car shows, but don't want outsiders involved and that's why they're never posted. Te BACC has at least 2 more posted drives and functions coming up. You might want to join if you already haven't. Nothing against NorCal, it's just very cliquish. I will still go to the functions that are posted to see the other guys that have been there since we started three years ago, but it's just not he same as it was. We were a little late on Sunday thinking we were just going to leave when we were ready. We went to breakfast at the hotel and mentioned we would Drive home with the group if they were still there. To our amazement, when we were done we walked out and asked when everyone was leaving. One of the group said we're waiting for some people that are eating breakfast...that couple was us and they didn't even know who we were and waited for us....That's the kind of people they are. I can't say enough......tom |
Just saw your photos and wanted to update you on pic 042, STL2
I put it into a mountain last week and now if looks like this: http://s2kool.com/images/cobra/leftside.jpg I am fine and I will have a cobra together for SNL 2011. Chris Mann |
Holy cow...I won't even ask.
Is it a total? Kinda looks that way. If so are you going to build another or buy a turn key? Also, if you have a good shot of it before this....send it to me and I'll work on the photo and send it back. tom |
Doesn't look too bad; the lower and possibly upper control arms are probably toast as is the tie-rod. Pipe is collapse; but other than that, it doesn't look totaled to me.
