Two '66 GT 350 "kits" for sale

Hi Guys,
A friend of mine in San Jose has two '65 fastbacks that are in mid restoration/conversion to '66 Shelby specs. The paint is done, one blue one green, and the interior is installed in the blue car. He has decided to sell them both due to lack of time to finish them, and the desire to get some thing in polished aluminum, from Utah I think.......He has most of the parts to finish both cars, and this is NOT a fire sale. He is interested in reasonable offers, and shipping would not be easy which is why I posted this here instead of the "For Sale" section.

Give Curt a call at 408-644-4610 for details, Thanks! Jon

Have any pics?

Jon Miller 01-01-2011 12:31 PM

Hi Charles,
I can't get pics to load here -too big- even after I made them smaller. If you email me, I can send you some.
Thanks,
Jon

For sale locally on Craigslist:

No affiliation.

They look pretty nice. I always think it is up to the seller to set the price if they are serious. That might help him move them faster.

Totally agree. No price = No action. IMHO.

Cars look nice.

Gotta love when someone lists an item for sale and then tells you in the ad they basically don't want to sell it for market price. They are mid-20s in today's market if he actually wants to sell them.

I am shopping for a client, so we've been watching the 65/6 clones for awhile.

This car changed hands for $26k in October: http://www.cartimeusedcars.com/vehic...?VID=123819011

That's what the auctions are for...

The reason for the lack of an asking price AND the desire to sell locally, is that he has two cars, a couple of motors, two or three transmissions, a couple sets of wheels, two rear ends, etc., etc.

Price depends on what exactly you want, or don't want. If they were done and running, setting an asking price would be easier. With the buyer looking at what he's getting in person, there are no surprises, everybody is happy.

With the 50 plus CC members here locally, I figured one of you guys might be interested. If not for the "One Toy Rule", I would love to have the green one myself. Maybe I should talk to the wife about that rule, and get as second job.......:)

I would like to know someone with a Kirkham, and if he sells the Stangs that may just happen.

Thanks for looking!
Jon

Jon, there are at least 4 Kirkhams in or around the Peninsula and South Bay that meet at an occasional Cobra Saturday morning breakfast. Any of us would be happy to show our Kirkhams to your friend.

If it were me selling, then I would price the roller as a base price, then put prices on the trannys, wheels and engines as options on top of the base price for the roller. Works for the Kirkhams and many/most Cobra replicas in general. :)

I would love to own another Fastback, but just trying to find the time to drive my Kirkham makes adding a 2nd non-daily driver superfluous and ridiculous, which makes me mad.

Who cares what the price is, how he markets the cars, or if he ever sells them. 95% of the interest is just curiousity. If someone is seriously interested, they'll go check the cars out and make an offer.

Common sense would be to list the base price of each car, but common sense isn't all that common. :)

Well he's not a forum member, but he's looking for free advertising here and on Craigslist. One might think he's not a serious seller.

Also, many/most other forums require a price to be listed in an ad (though there's no ad here).

Doug, are you getting your percentages from Patrick?

Patrick didn't send you the handy dandy CC percentage calculator by thread subject? I based my calculation on the local Cobra owners that I see on a regular basis. Most would love a GT350 clone, but my guess is that one person MIGHT be interested enough to seriously pursue it.

Who knows...just bs'ing. :)

The Blue car is sold and will be going to France......Hate it when that happens, not the sold part, just the France part, oh well.

The green car is still available and it would be nice if it stayed in the area so you could take me for a ride now and then! :)

Asking price is $25,000

Thanks for looking, and No, I don't get a percentage :)

"One Toy Rule"
WHAT???? Who came up with THAT rule? Man, I'm in major violation, where should I turn myself in? :) :)

Three convertibles and two motorcycles here, on a nice sunny day, the pressure is intense to figure out what to drive. Maybe I need a clone Mustang for the rainy days?

Caustic_Cobra 01-06-2011 09:12 AM

Jon,

I just sent you an email.

thanks

He should tweak that statement: he can have only ONE 4 WHEELED "toy". He's got other "toys" but I can't mention them here. :D

Please e-mail me more about the remaining car and a list of what it with it and what is additional. I would also like to get some pics. My e-mail is noelm@sbcglobal.net Thanks.

Mike
