Cobra car cover in Vacaville (free to good home)

Family,

I have a very nice (clean but a little dusty) breathable car cover that I used on 3152 I would like to offer up free to a good home. The cover was made to fit a cobra without a roll bar and is more an inside cover (I only used it inside) but is water resistant and could be used inside or out. It's a quality cover and well worth a drive from anywhere in the Bay Area.

I have a Contemporary without a roll bar.
Would you be willing to bundle it up and ship it if I send you money for shipping?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the question Dan. I'd love to give it to someone locally but what the heck we are a small community unto ourselves. I really won't be monitoring the site but someone else called me from the East Coast and asked the same question so here's an answer...

In fairness it is early here in the West, none of my neighbors are off work yet so lets do this, if none of my neighbors want it in the next day or so I will figure out what it will cost to ship across the country and post it here. You and my other cross country cobra brother will have first call. If neither of you want it it will be who ever calls me after I post the cost.

I will guess and say it will fit in a one and a half cube box if I roll it tightly and smash it in a little and it will likely weigh 5-7 pounds. You will know what this will cost to send you from Northern California better than I do but whatever it costs I'd do it for the cost of the postage and the box. Not that it matters much but I see similar covers by Covercraft for in the $250. range.

I just went out and snapped a photo of the cover (this is becomming too much like work). It is by Covercraft and made of something called technalon2 and has brass grommets, protected plastic gromets and some fabric loops to keep it secure (all shown in the photo below).

Sounds like a reasonable plan.

Thanks again,
Dan

One thing that you can do is box it up and weigh it. Then give the weight and size to whomever wants it and they can arrange shipping and pay for it from their end. They can send you a pick up / drop off slip to take to the shipper and all you have to do is drop it off. I have done that a couple of times. Works great and you do not have to be involved in the $ aspect.

Every time I have something quoted for shipping and give the $ to the person, the $ has changed for the higher by the time I ship it. Even if it has only been a day or two.

Thanks T. That would be a logical thing to do but as noted would also be like work. I'm channeling my inner Ferris Buhler today and called in sick and really don't want to work... Or buy a box :-)
