Superformance fusible link

Do yourself a favor and put in a 75 AMP to 100 AMP breaker. They make these for automotive and for marine. Fusable links are a fire hazard.

Xack makes a good point. Generally Fusable Links are found near where the main harness gets its power, such as the solenoid.

Tom,
I would think the red wire would go to the fuse buss first. If the wire loom is plastic you can split it open and follow individual wires. I know one of the members on this forum has an electric wiring diagram for Superformance.

I emailed Tom outside of this thread that I have a fusible link running from my 0ne-wire alternator to the solenoid and a re-settable 50 amp breaker running from the solenoid to the main harness.

I know its in there some where. I did cut back the alternator shielding (Matt) about a foot with no luck. Hoping someone knows where it is so I don't have to unwrap the entire front loom. It's season end for me so I'm patient and hoping someone pops up and says, "mine blew also and this is where it's at."
Xack...it has a 60A master in the fuse panel that did not blow.

Why not run a new wire from the alternator to the solenoid? Did this when converting to single wire alternator and volt meter and ran the wire across top of intake

The stock factory wire is based on a 65A 1965 ford Alternator - if you are running a Big-Boy 100A plus unit, you might consider a larger gauge charge wire. - my .02c
