Intakes: I have pitched the 514 crate idea and will now build my own 521 (give or take a couple of cubes) My question is does anyone know if a Blue Thunder intake will fit under the SPF hood? Thanks -Joe |

In a word, yes... Hey Joe, Yes, a Blue Thunder dual plane manifold will find on a BB in an SPF. With the new hoods, you might even be able to fit a Victor JR. The question is: what RPM range do you want to see your power? And how "streetable" do you want your motor? Once you know this, then you need to match your cam with the intake and carb (and heads). I'm running a BT DP manifold with a 750DP Holley on a FMS crate 460. It's very streetable, and runs well on the track. Hope this helps, Randy R... |

Thanks Randy, I want to run a inline dual quad set up. I'm going to build a stroker 460 but streetable. I was a little worried about the FMS 514 cam being a little nutty for trips and such. Thanks for the info, I will have plenty more questions!! -Joe |
