Alignment address in B.A. for a Unique? Hi all, I'm looking for an address in the Bay (possibly South) Area for my Unique Motorcars - with rear Jaguar IRS. Got the car tweaked (actually closer to decent specs than when I got it) at a local tire shop, however the chassis still needs improvement since the folks there didn't have the shims for setting-up the rear, and are simply not familiar with this type of car. I do all other work myself. Also I intend to track the car and has good experience describing behavior and what I expect so I'm looking for a chassis specialist, or a guy who's got experience tracking Cobras... Thanks a bunch! Two words: Custom Alignment. They're in Mt. View, and they are the best. Run! Don't walk. And use my name as reference, if you want... Custom Alignment - Balance and Brakes | Mountain View, CA |

Thanks Randy! Looks like I have a dying rear wheel bearing as well, so I'll probably check them up very soon :) |

Believe it or not - Schwab Tire Center has done mine and they do a good job front and rear. Had to replace a rack and pinion a while back and used them again. |

I've used Schwab in the past and been pleased with their tires and service. However, Schwab Tire has a fairly new policy where they won't remove knock-off wheels and won't allow the customer to do it in their shop. Alignment may not be a problem but replacing tires certainly is. |

I've used Schwab on my Superformance in Roseville. They had the specs for front and rear and they allowed me under the car as they did it. If Randy used the custom shop I'm sure its good to. Just comes down to price vs quality for me. Schwab did great and it was about a "C" note...maybe less. front and rear. |

Hi guys, just an update to share some knowledge. Rear bearings were worn and replaced them. There was a 4 mm play on the passenger side, the bearing was knocking which was what got my attention, and the car has a much healthier handling with fresh bearings :) |

Funny. I use both Custom Alignment and Schwab in Fremont for my cars. The main difference is that Custom Alignment will use specifications that you supply them and they do not rush anything. They will work till the car is spot on. |
