Just a note to car numbers, CSX **** had as many as 8 or 9 different meatball numbers over the course of it's life. CSX **** was one of 5 of the FIA cobras built by Shelby to race here in the states and in Europe. As for the nose stripe dimensions I think the part across the top of the car is 5 to 5.5 inches and widens to 9 to 9.5 at the fender wells. I've been researching this lately because I to am building an 289 FIA car. I'm trying to duplicate CSX **** as driven by Phil Hill at Sebring. CSX **** always wore a yellow stripe and at Sebring and it had #14 on the car. Google 289 FIA car history or something similar to that and you will find a few photos and races they entered along with number worn, serial number and drivers. Hope this helps.

I blew one of my team stripes off at speed on the interstate at last year's London Cobra Show. The place where I got them no longer carries them. Any suggestions?

Put them on in vinyl. Semi-permanent, won't blow off, and peel right off if you change your mind.
There must be a commercial auto graphics vendor somewhere near you. You know, the place that wraps all those commercial vehicles with top-to-bottom graphics. A couple of stripes for the fender on a Cobra would be a piece of cake for them.
