I had hoped to be able to post a rogue's gallery of those who caravanned from breakfast to sears point last saturday. Unfortunately, due to pilot error, only this one turned out.

I met this guy, its a very clean car. He went the 390/FE route, and to me its one of the nicest looking SPF cars out there. I could drive this car every day. The solid green looks great too!

Joe-
Do you have any other pictures of the green car? I am thinking about green with no stripes and would love to see some more if you have any.

Thanks,
Mike

Fitz--that's the SPF "Malachite Green", right?

Greaat looking car---why no smile? You seem to be a pretty tall guy, judging from the relative height of the wind-shield and wind-wings attached. I'm not tall except in torso---and I sat in an SPF and looked OVER everything! It is, nonetheless a beyooootiful car! Congratulations....and.........smile when you drive that, podnah!

Fitz the car looks cool, the driver looks frozen. Did you get a heater with the car? It was cold on Saturday morning. The 390 SPF is a great combo. Did you buy it from Judd and the guys at Dynamic MS, Reno?

Does anyone know the paint codes for SPF's Malachite Green?

Thanks,
Mike

Chuck,
It was truely cold that Saturday morning. The car does have a heater but out put in an open car is not that efficient. Dressing warm is the only way to really go. The car was delivered thru Dynamic in Reno but I started the purchase thru Craig at Top of the Hill. Craig and I picked up the my car and another as a Rollers. I assemblied mine with advise form Craig. The 390 FE engine was assembled by me with machining by Stritz and advise (Components) by Craig. Two years and no problems but a lot of fun.

I used to drive top down all the time in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo in my Healey Sprite MkII. I left the tonnaue cover on the car and only unzipped the driver's side. It kept things fairly snug below the cover and the head and shoulders were refreshingly cold. Just a thought. I look forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming Cobra Club meetings. For now every free minute goes to finishing the LS 427.

Chuck,
Just finished felting the bottom of my cover to use for that purpose. Another member, Russ T. and I were talking about the ablity of the tonneau cover scratching the body. The edging of the matieral buttoning down/ taking off and wind flapping at the doors by both tonneau cover and soft tops prove to leave small but noticeable scratches. His fix for that was self adhesive felt applied to the area that came in contact with the body. So, for my next outing in cold weather I will be using the cover as you suggested and hopefully without any scratches left behind. Thanks, hope to meet you at one of the get togethers at Athen's.

Hey Fitz,

Nice Pic of your car in "motion". I haven't been out to the breakfast for quite sometime....last visit took place when my buddy Mike brought his aluminum block over for show and tell. I finally have my "baby", but she is far from completion. I hope to have her on the road by my b-day......4/27...nice coincidence :-). I hope to join you guys soon with my own car, but it will have to be in spirit until then.

Oh, by the way, why did you choose foam as your extinguishing agent for the fire supression system?? Was it a cost issue? I'm planning to use Halon.

take care!

Gene
