Dave,
Where is Shingle Springs? Are you going up Highway 50 or 80? Russ Thompson and I are heading up Thursday morning. We are going to meet in Cordelia and head up 80 from the Bay Area. If you are going up 80, you could join us along the way.

Dave Lommori 07-29-2003 06:22 PM

superskippy, I'm going up 50 into south lake tahoe and down into carson city and into Reno that way. That about an hour longer, but it a great drive and I'm in no hurry. I'm staying at thee Atlantic hotel and will have the car in the lot across the street.

LETSRCE 07-31-2003 09:13 AM

We are leaving around 7:30 am on thursday going 680/80.
So if anyone wants to meet along the way let me know.

Joe,

A little piece of advice....BE SURE TO DRIVE THE WHOLE TRIP!!!!! SF Fire puppy chow enjoys PLOWING THROUGH THE PEOPLE when behind the wheel!

Let me know if we can use your trailer to bring my cobra to Mike's shop on the way back Sunday the 10th!

Mr. 88.
Your more than welcome to use the trailer my only question is how do you plan on getting 25 feet of car in a 20' trailer.

Joe,

EASY!!! Sell your "small" trailer in Reno and purchase a bigger one!! OR sell the cobra and buy a mini cooper. :-)

We may be scratching the idea because Mike said he was going down to your neck of the woods to start the road trip. He may have some other option in the works with a flat bed. You guys can talk it over, if he changes his mind, we can leave your car at my place while mine gets transported to the shop.

I'm just eager to start since time is moving at a rapid pace and the motor is still in pieces. THE DEADLINE IS APPROACHING AND THERE IS PLENTY OF WORK AHEAD!

FYI ...The motor came back from the machine shop and it looks GREAT!! The CP pistons were worth every penny....they didn't have to touch them!

Can't wait to hear that baby come to life!

Later!
