The guy I spoke with at the Shelby booth said after this $39995 promotion at the historics, the price will go up "$2k - $3k". It seemed to be dependent upon the volumes they can hit at the factory. Higher volumes allow them to spread their fixed costs (factory, equipement, et cetera) over more units, reducing the unit cost. I'll have to wait, too. So, I would like to encourage everyone else to run out and buy one of these Cobras, so that by the time I can make my purchase they're running at a factory optimum. -DBK |

When I arrived early Sat morning the Brock Coupe was with Pete in the Superformance area. Later I saw Pete park the Brock Coupe between the Shelby cars infront of the Vintage Shelby trailer. He was smiling and showing the car to the onlookers. If he had to move his car then we can expect the battle to continue.
On a personal note I always felt that Superformance would have been an ideal partner for Shelby. |
