use a blue and light silver spring to start. Set it at 12 btc and not more than 38 degrees total.

Mike,
Go down to Shell across from Petes, ask for the guy who builds the NHRA motors. He lives in Danville and is great, drives a little dodge pick-up. I think his name is Stu.

How's this working out Mike? We talked about this 3 months ago or so. It seems like you'd have it whipped by now. What's it doing (or not doing).

I have it right... 14 at Idle and 38 at 3000 rpm. I think it is more of a carburetion problem.

Man this is the longest running minor problem thread in history, I tried walking mike through this on the phone back in Oct. It sounded like he had a couple plug wires crossed. Who knows... I give up.

Mike,
It is OK at first I thought it was a timing issue. Now I think my carbs are way to rich.

Mike,
have someone remove the needle/seat in each carb. If your car has been sitting, its possible some junk got sucked up past the filter or lodged loose and sitting in there keeping the needle from shutting all the way.
Does it run rough at idle and clear out when you get on it? What are the symptoms?

I installed new air filters and it runs much better. The dirty filters was making it run way too rich.
It is still not perfect but I can live with it the way it is.
