Palo Alto Concourse Replicar Parking Situation !!?
Exactly where will "WE" be put.. Dirt...?.. Grass Area..?.. Any Shade..?.. restrooms....?...and we have to Pay $30 for this .. ? ..The last one of these "things" I attended a guy walked up to my car, (with a PERFECT hand rubbed black laquer paint job!) KICKED the 1/4 panel with his foot, and said.. "Nope, Glass.. it's Phony" ..! ....good thing I wasn't ARMED ! ...Thanks

OK, Badrich posted a most eloquent response here, and then hit the button twice. He reported the duplicate to Ron and me. I deleted the duplicate, and Ron deleted the original.
CC Moderators....you call, we freeking deliver!:LOL: Here's what he said... Fred: I'm a peaceful guy, but I can't imagine what I'd do if some dip s__t did that to my machine. After all, I do carry my 6# lead mallet in the boot at all times... This event has been very classy in the past and I would expect grass, restrooms and trees for some shade, but not necessarily available for all cars. In my opinion, kicking a door would be grounds for immediate expulsion from the event. :mad Rich |
Fred - I think we can all sympathize with what happened and have visions of what we would do if this were the Old West. As you know this could happen anywhere jealous people are.
The location this year is different than in the past for the Concours as a whole. I have not seen the actual location, thus can not comment about shade or other facilities other than to say that I am sure restrooms will be close by as there are hundreds of people who attend this event. Regarding the $30, that is cheap to show a car, much less when you consider that you get parking and admission for two, it is a bargain. I'll look into whether they plan for us to be on dirt or grass. Tom |
