body and paint help
Hi, Had some damage to my Cobra, not too serious but will require a fair amount of fiberglass work and a repaint as all four corners and nose have some damage. I have someone to work on any of the mechanical stuff already.
I viewed Joe Kennedy's post from a couple of years ago. It mentioned Automotive Enterprises in San Carlos and a couple of other shops including one in Burlingame area. Does anyone know where he had his work done and if he was happy with it? Any comments on AE as I've seen that they do a lot of Vette work? Other suggestions on who is "the best" in the Bay Area - I want top notch body work and paint! It is only a trailer ride away, so location is secondary to the work to be performed. Does one always have the body guy do the paint work? Thanks for any tips. |
Most paint guys that I have talked to do not like to paint over someone elses bodywork (unless they work together or know each others work).

If I remember correctly Joe had his repaired at Emmerson. I can attest to the quiality of the repair.

new names
A couple of other suggestions I have discovered are Toyworks in Concord, Waldschmidt in San Carlos or Intrepid in Reno (a bit far but WTF).
Any comments good or bad. If you don't want your comments posted, please send me a PM. THX |
