Baja's Breakfast!

Well, it is the first Saturday of the month this weekend. Is anyone up for breafast?

bill bradshaw 03-28-2006 11:00 AM

We need a little sun for a good drive. See you rain or shine.

badrich 03-28-2006 08:45 PM

My Dashboard shows rain Friday but sunny Saturday. I'll be there in either case. Rich

Hey rich,
Did the air cleaner fit? Have you had the beast out with the re-jetted carb, and if so...How did it run?. Have you called ted again?. So many Questions!!! LOL.

Greg

Hey Greg: The beast sounds fine in the garage, but I am still waiting for some dry roads before I turn it loose on the street. Tomorrow looks like the day. I'm going to visit Ted's tomorrow morning to see if my A/F mixture is a little closer to ideal. I think I might try a run with my S&H air cleaner attached and one without (since I don't have Bill' velocity stack). If you're not busy you can come over and kibitz.

Your big K&N air cleaner stopped the bonnet with a 1 1/2" gap before getting to the latches. Just a tad much. The Ford Racing air cleaner looks good, but is only 1" larger in diameter than my S&H. After lots of measuring and stuff I think I can get an 11" x 2" air cleaner in there. I'm going to call K&N and see if they have something close. It wouldn't be perfect, but it would be a big improvement over the S&H. How much did you say that new air horn would cost? ;) Rich

Hey Rich,
Call me tomorrow if you do decide to go. I would try to meet you if the timming is right. (408) 813-4100

As you know, Greg, the crappy weather scared me away from Ted's yesterday. But that gave me a chance to crawl around behind my dash  and replace the old, disintegrating Smith's ammeter. The new genuine Lucas model sure looks spiffy. I wonder how many months it will last? Please refresh my memory on the Zaino products you use and where you got them. Besides the Beast, my Corvette needs some help. Black can be beautiful, but only with a "little" work.

It is supposed to be sunny Saturday morning, so let's get a gang out to Baji's Down the Street Cafe' and lie about horsepower and stuff. Rich

Hey Rich,

Steve Paski is the NorCal distributor of Zaino, and he's in San Jose. I can bring you business card tomorrow morning, and/or you can contact him here:

Hi Guys

I don't own yet, but I have a deposit down on a BDR and am waiting for it to arrive hopefully in July (paint scheme is the problem). I would love to come down and meet some of you. Where exactly is the restaurant at and what time will you be meeting?

Cheers
Michael
