High Performance Driving Event - Thunderhill August 19

I'm going up to the HPDE at Thunderhill on August 19th (a Sunday) with some friends. Wanted to see if any cobra guys were interested as well...

Here is a link to the signup page.

Thunderhill-HPDS & NASA-HPDE are two different events.

NASA-HPDE will be offered Aug 11-12 at Thunderhill. There will be a few of us there practicing that weekend and you are welcome to come up and check it out. NASA runs a very good program and a great group of folks.

Let me know if you're interested,

John

I'd like to know more about how the thunder hill HPDE is run. I tried to find information on that site and failed. I tried the root site, also failed.

Do they run in groups? What is the session time? What is the DB limit? Speed limit? Is this a pace-car parade-lap thing or...?

If this is an event similar to a Shelby Club or Green Flag open track day, I'd be interested.

Try http://www.thunderhill.com/html/driving_school.html

They run in 3 different groups, have instructions around to guide you. I'm not sure what the db limit is on the track, but I haven't heard of anyone having problems - it is out in the middle of no-where. it is not a pace-car parade lap, its open lapping, with strict passing rules (only on certain straights with a wave-by).
