oil leak ?
I noticed there is a few oil dropped on the floor, (not much) I just have the car less then a month, although it's not a brand new car, but the car only 3 years old and has 6K miles on the clock,
does the nuts and bolts on this car need to be tighten from time to time, I have not jack-up the car and check for leak yet. I also notice the oil pressure only at 35-40 when idle, car ran about 10 minutes, after 5 hrs later when the car is cool down I checked the dip stick and it above the "add" mark a bit, does it look like low oil? BTW, what type of oil do you use for this car? Regards TC |

You may want to put the car up on some jack stands and do a thorough visual check to see if you can isolate the leak. It could be the rear seal, pan, or a number of other things. I'm no expert, but your oil pressure at idle seems fine. You might want to touch base with the original engine builder (was it CHP?) to see what they say. Even though it's not warranty, they should be helpful if they're concerned at all with word of mouth referrals. Good meeting you at Alice's this weekend. Doug |
as of now just a few drop for the whole month, I am worry it will get worst, once I have a chance I will put the car on jack stand and check for leak, I may have to contact CHP for advice later on
