Len,
Could you be lucky enough to just have poor grounding or supply voltage to these gauges? Have the 3 gauges possibly gone bad at about the same time? Hope it is an easy fix for you.

Actually El Jeffe the oil gauge works on the expansion of ether or some such, or is that the temp gauge? English engineering  Anyway , you can order one from Dynamic and get it in about 2 days FedEx...

Very nice guys and have most parts in stock....

Might want to order the end that is in the oil too........

Mulv is correct, the oil temp, water temp use a closed copper capillary tube with a bulb at the end that is in direct contact with the oil or the water. The fluid inside the sealed capillary expands and contracts with the rise and fall of the temp of the oil or water. I bought mine from:

Are you sure the oil temp. gauge is connected properly. Many are not.

Mulv 08-08-2007 10:05 PM

If you kink the tube it cracks and lets the ether out... you would think it impossible for the Brits to make F1 cars with their bizzaro engineering.:JEKYLHYDE

Call Top of the Hill in Livermore.
They usually have some of these on hand.
