One Day Build, Oct 20, 2007 in Ross, CA
Hi Guys, Mesa Mike (a.k.a., San Rafael Mike) here. There is a FFR builder in Ross that is stuck and needs some help.
Here's the status of his build: Roller with all brake and fuel lines plumed. About 30% of the alumn. in place. Fuel tank in place, master cylinder in place, steering in place, IRS and diff. in place. Probably some more but here what's needed. 1. Install new clutch, pressure plate and marry transmission to the engine and install along with prepped drive shaft. 2. Wiring harness needs install (Roger diet done) 3. Complete all aluminum. I discussed with Weendoggy (wiring manager) and this seems to be a good date. Need a good engin guy to get the engine started any of us should be good with the rivet gun. This is a pretty good guy (Russ Rudden) and just needs a good push. There will be plenty of food and drink for any and all who can come to help. I believe this is a week after snakes and a week before Willow Springs. Let me know if you can make it. Thanks, Mesa Mike |
I like these things but let me look up Ross, CA first and I'll get back to you...
*EDIT* ok, didn't know you were that close to Marin. :D I can make that date. What tools does he currently have and what's still needed? I'm guessing since we're talking aluminum, I could bring drill(s), 1/8 and 3/16" drill bits, clecos (I'll paint a stripe on mine so I'll be able to tell). If engine's going in, I can also bring a few other tools. I would assume he has a hoist. Keep us posted but you should also post this on FFCobra.com as well. |
Mike I checked where Ross, CA was also and I guess you are no longer in Mesa, AZ? If you are and are willing to drive to Ross I may contact you next time I need a hand :).
Very nice jesture guys, I wish I lived closer so I could lend a hand. Clois |
