There are tar and sap removers available at any auto parts store. They all work. Wax the area after the sap has been removed.

My choice is Turtle Wax bug and tree sap remover...works good an does not need waxing afterwards...works great...keep a good coat of wax and car and it makes the job easier...better yet, put the Cobra outside and let wife park in the garage...duh,,,right, like that is gonna happen

Acetone
Stan -
I have to do this every year to my everyday cars...acetone is the easiest and least expensive. It will not harm the paint but always a good idea to test it in a spot first. After you remove the glob you may have an outline of the sap left which a good wax will then remove. I have tried many other products, but this is far the best.
