My Cobra and I in a movie!
I was contacted by two young film makers approximately two years ago for a tourism film they were doing about the city of San Francisco. The visual tour of S.F. was done from Land, Sea and Air. As you can probably guess, the Cobra and I were hired to provide footage for the "land" perspective of their film. A helicopter was used for the aerial coverage (lots of cool shots) and an offshore boat for some nice bay video.
The film is short (approx. 30 min), but well done. For a sneak peak, use the link below and hit the "video clip" button. http://www.travelvideostore.com/inde...cPath=959_1616 |

Mortadella.
Very nice, I'm surprised Mike didn't make a cameo in there as "The Abuser" Your a sexy b!tch! |
Congrats dude. It isn't every day you get to be in a movie.
:D :D |
Thanks for the kind words guys :3DSMILE:
Joe, I agree, Mike should have made a cameo as "Mr. Horsepower". I can remember getting the worse gas mileage ever in the Cobra when we did a lot of shooting in downtown S.F. with lots of stop and go traffic over the course of several takes. I got 3 miles to the gallon that day! Al Gore would be so proud of me. |
How cool is that. Neat video clip. From the exterior your snake looks a lot like mine. Too bad San Francisco is leaning so far left its ready to topple.

Love it! Great filmwork

Nice shots of the city. Made me miss living there. I use to live on Jones & Washington. I owned a shop at Bush & Van Ness. I use to walk to, and from work, but if the cablecar happened by I would jump on....WHAT A GREAT COMMUTE THAT WAS!!!!!!

Bob...I agree with you 100% I was born and raised here in S.F....and never realized just how few of us are still around. Very beautiful place when the fog isn't around, but the liberals have a firm hold on this city and it seems to get worse every day.:JEKYLHYDE
imagine2frolic I was in the vicinity of your old shop not too long ago. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary over at the House of Prime Rib on Van Ness and Washington.:3DSMILE: |
Gene,
Brings back memories of our trip last December. The wife and I drove PCH and spent a couple of days in the city. Looks like the Sunday morning that we headed south; down by the wharf was so deserted. Having the city almost to one's self was real nice. |
Gene,
How cool to be included in the movie. House of Prime Rib is always fantastic!! I haven't been a couple of years, but need to make it back soon. |
John,
I'm glad the short clip brought back some nice memories. Cruising Hwy 1 along the coast on a beautiful day is tough to beat. Many of the tourists are long gone from SF by Dec. The trick to visiting here is to come early fall....June and July typically bring lots of fog. This movie was shot in Nov. and Dec. and we got to the film locations early in the morning because I could only meet with them on weekends. Doug, I hadn't been to House of Prime Rib for a few years also...so be prepared for a little sticker shock....full prime rib dinner is around $35-$37 now. We spent nearly $100 and didn't even have any alcohol. The food was great, but be prepared to wait even with reservations. We went on a Tues night with an 8:00 pm time slot and didn't get seated until 8:45. Personally, I think it's done on purpose so you get seated in the cocktail area and throw a few drinks back to pad the bill. |
