LA Exotics for sale/need help pricing
Fellow Cobra nut, Charlie pasted away a little over a year ago, his wife would like to sell his Cobra.
Last time I saw it, I would guess it's 90% to 95% complete, body painted lite cobra blue. Charlie did almost all the work himself, (example: he bought fan motors at Granger and made the fans/blades and mounting brackets for the radiator two fans-they look as good as any you could buy) he had worked at the Ford plant in Milpitas, so he was not a novice to cars; he had two '65 Mustangs in his driveway that he restored himself. I'm about 95% sure Charlie put a 289 in it, not a 302, I'll be checking on as many details as I can this week. Anyone in the Bay Area wants to help a lady sell her husband's car. If you have one or know a little about LA Exotics could you contact me to help her price the car? She's in Milpitas. I know nothing about LA Exotics. I'll get pictures up soon as I can, but she says car is covered with garage junk and hard to see. :) |
Kind of an interesting post for todays date, I think.

LA Exotics is the same car as a B&B and in my prejudiced opinion they are extremely under rated. As far as workmanship I would put it up against most other manufacturers. However, a 95% LA Exotic would probably be worth somewhere in the $25-$30K range. If it is 99% complete depending on the workmanship it might be worth as much as $40-$42K. Just my opinion!

With my total lack of knowedge of LA Exotics, B&B, (Washington company) ,and B&B again, I told her not to sell until she got estamates from 3 people who do not want to purchase the car, and that my completely uneducated guess placed the car between 22K and 26K...it's only 90% to 95% complete as I last saw it. |
