Bacc -> Wscb

Who's going to the WSCB from the BACC?

I'm roadworthy, but towing it just in case...hasn't had many hours on the road in proper running order.

All that's left is a bit of brake bias tweeking, hood pins, some cosmetic stuff that may or may not get done in time. Either way, I'll be there.

My wife and I are driving up Thursday morning with a few others. Then we meet up with another group in Walnut Creek.

I'm coming up from San Francisco Thursday AM. Is there a group meeting up at Sun Valley Shopping Center in Pleasant Hill? On 80 before Sac?

4pipes 04-30-2008 08:01 PM

Count me in Scott.

Paul F 04-30-2008 08:19 PM

I'm looking to join a BACC or NorCal group going up Friday.

Danny Fong 05-01-2008 06:28 AM

Paul,

Check out the other thread "Sacramento Region Caravan to WSCB". We have a group leaving on Friday and will be taking Hwy 50 up to Reno. More updates to follow as we get closer.

Man, I wish I could but I didn't sign up because I wasn't sure my car would hold up for a long distance drive, but now that it's made the 800 mile trip to and from Los Angeles, I now wish I had signed up for WSCB! :( Ok, I promise next year!

CJ428CJ 05-02-2008 01:32 PM

I'm driving up Thursday morning but I haven't heard much about the usual Walnut Creek/Concord meeting point. Is everyone meeting at that shopping center again and if so what time? Scott, if that group is not meeting up this year, let's just leave from Rock House. We could take 88 up.

Thanks Danny. Will do.

Looking at Yahoo Maps (new drag and click) and Livermore, up 88, to 395 Sparks looks like 230 miles and over 4 1/2 hours. Looks like a nice route, but coming from SF, a bit of a long day.

Anyone interested in the boring 80 route, Auburn Ikeda's, .... or hooking up with the NorCal gourp?

This will be the longest/farthest drive in my Cobra and worried about the usual problems (second motor, new clutch, over heating, sunburn, etc) and want to stay near a major freeway where a tow truck can find me.:D

ByronRACE 05-04-2008 08:40 AM

PM me

PM me and let's exchange cell phone numbers. I'll be towing mine in an enclosed, likely behind you on 80, and carrying tools. If it ads any comfort, I'm more than willing to assist should something correctable arise.

Chris,
Greg and I are in for the 88 drive.

I'm still interested in meeting at Kohl's and driving up 80. It seems we need two threads..... one for 88 and one for 80.:)

I will be towing to Reno. Anyone need us to take things to Reno for you.

CJ428CJ 05-09-2008 07:28 AM

For those of you that want to take the Hwy 88 route, we'll be leaving the Rock House in Livermore at 10:00 on Thursday.

Chris

4pipes 05-10-2008 07:18 AM

Chris, what time do you think you will arrive in Sparks if you leave at 10am?

CJ428CJ 05-10-2008 06:12 PM

Dave,

Google says it's about a 4.5 hour drive. We'd stop for lunch somewhere so we ought to get to Sparks around 3-4:00.

Chris

You guys have a great drive. Ron (from SF) and I are going to take 80 up. We both want to minimize our seat time.

SF_SN888KE 05-11-2008 08:51 AM

Looks like Dave and I will be stopping off in Auburn at Ikeda's for lunch (12 noon-1PM?) if any BACC/NorCal guys want to meet for the final leg to WSCB.
