San Fran Visit Car Guy Stuff??

Hey guys, looking for a few good car places to check out while Mummas in training. I got Brizios at the top of the list any other suggestions? Good Cobra places??
Thanks

Canepa Design's showroom is about 1 1/2 hours South of San Francisco.

Denbeste Motorsports is about 1 hour North of San Francisco

Blackhawk Museum is across the Bay in Danville.

I've never been to Brizio's shop, but I've heard it's great.

When will you be in the Bay Area?

Mick,

When are you planning on coming over? There are a number of car events and such coming up. Do you know where you will be staying while your here?

Mike "monster"

You are always welcome for breakfast at The Rock House in Livermore on Saturday's;), general 20 to 30 Cobra's along with some Mustangs, Ford-GT's and misc.... (see BACCEVENTS.com for directions)

Infineon, Laguna Seca and Thunderhill. There should be events at each of these racetracks when you visit.

Nice! You guys are awesome. I was hoping to make a Cobra breakfast, sounds like a good gang of you. Unfortunately we're there from Sun 29th to Fri 4th so we'll miss your Sat. Staying at the Hilton on O'Farrell St. Looks like I've got a good itinerary now :-)

Looks like Bonnie better be training 24/7 by the looks of the activities available out there. Much different than the NH region.

Nick,
Hope you brought a camera?

mickmate 06-30-2008 10:21 AM

Trying for Denbeste today, spoke to Bill on the phone, camera loaded and ready :-)

mickmate 06-30-2008 11:57 PM

Doug thanks for that, I'm on Shelby overload after the afternoon at Denbeste. Jeff I only took 157 photos, I'll pick through them and see if there's any good ones. Shelby is so impressed with the operation Amy sent his Daytona up there to have on display. The place is amazing! Bill, Adam and Joe all very accomodating.

The shop is closed this week.

Your leaving a day early!

Mick,
Too bad you are leaving on the 4th. The NorCal Shelby club is running Sears Point (Infineon) this weekend. I will be there running with a bunch of friends. Could have taken you for a ride. If you change your plans PM me and we can work out something.

Don

Mick,

Glad you had a chance to visit Denbeste. I've never been, but I've heard it's great. I'll get a chance to see the facility on 7/12.

BTW - Looks like you got to experience San Francisco's trademark summer weather...fog. It was probably pretty nice up in Windsor.

mickmate 07-01-2008 09:14 AM

I rode up there with the top down, my nose is blistered today! It's a little tricky to find but well worth it. If you've found Denbeste transportation in Denbeste Court then you're there. I'm bummed Hall Fab is closed. Do you know if they have a Kiwi there running Cobras on a vintage race team?

RodKnock 07-01-2008 09:32 AM

Mickmate, I'm not sure if Stewart Hall has any Kiwis on staff. While I haven't met everyone, I haven't come across anyone with a Kiwi accent. They're closed this week because Mr. Hall is back East joining some famous Sprint Car racing series in and around the State of Pennsylvania. I know this because my Kirkham is there at Hall Fab right now.

He always has some/many original 289 and 427 Cobras there being worked on and a smattering of replicas, continuation CSX's and others.

Fantasy Junction and the Blackhawk Museum were super too. Fantasy had a 1938 Maybach on the list for a mere 3.5 mill, I told them I only wanted it if there was a matching pair..........Thanks guys for the hot tips. I wish I'd known Lesher was close by I would like to have seen that operation and Hall. Oh well gotta have a couple for next time right.
