Kirkham fuel tank area measurements
Can anyone tell me the measurements for the fuel tank area on the Kirkham 427 and 289 FIA Cobras. I believe the Kirkham is the direction I want to head but need to know if it can fit.

Might be best if this was moved to the Kirkham forum...;)

Ron, I see you own a Kirkham. Would you mind sharing?

mtml427 - Are you talking about installing a fuel cell or some other tank in a Kirkham?

Yes, I intend to install a carbon graphite encapsulated tank and need to know the amount of room I have to play with. I would prefer to keep the trunk undisturbed.

This pretty well fills up all the available space http://www.clubcobra.com/classifieds...p?product=1629 6 1/2 deep at the front, 10 deep at the back, maybe just 24 long and max width 48 but as you can see it can't be a box to fill those dimensions. Let me know if there's more specific numbers I can help with or where the can dimensions are you're looking at.

Thanks Mick. I checked with Tom Kirkham today and received some very good news. Now it's on to the rest of this project. I am still trying to decide on 427 v.FIA hybrid.

You can't go wrong with a company or a decision like that! I like the off the beaten path choice.........
