front end alignment

Do any of you Bay Area Cobra owners know where to go in the South Bay (San Jose) for a good front end alignment? Thanks Richard

Friend of the Shelby club. They can do anything you need. Align, corner weight, bump steer, shave tires, anything.

Rick, thanks much for the info. I'll look them up. Richard

Richard,

If that doesn't work out try Speed Merchants in San Jose. It took them a little time to figure out the right alignment but I have been supper happy with the job that they did.

Dave, thanks for the reply. I've set up an appointment with Custom Alignment already. I see you live in San Jose. Do you go to Happy Days diner on Thursdays? Richard

Dave V 07-28-2001 10:13 PM

Richard,

I have not gone there yet. I understand that a couple of the San Jose Cobra guys do go regularly. Let me know if you go and I'll join you.

Dave, Custom Alignment seems to be very busy. I set up a appointment for 8/9 to get my Cobra aligned. I'll let you know how it went. If you got questions my work number is 408-845-3254. Richard

Where is this Happy Days Diner you mention in San Jose? What's happening there on Thursdays? Also please let me know how it went with alignment and how much $$$ . I need one too. I'm in Morgan Hill. Thanks!

Greg

Greg, Happy Days Dinner is on the corner of Bascom and Union in San Jose. I go for the alignment tomorrow (thursday the 9th). I'll give you the specifics on Friday. Richard

Greg, I got my car aligned on Thursday. The shop was full of cars. Most of the cars were performance type, like Cobras, Porches, Vetts , etc. They quoted me 2 hours for labor and there were no parts to add. That worked out to about $170.00. They finished in 1-1/2 hours and it cost me a little over $ 130.00. The equipment is state of the art and I was very happy with the professionalism of the techs. They gave me a print out of what the alignment numbers were before and after. When I drove away, the ride difference was noticable. I am very happy with the work they did. Richard
