The SR-71s are the ones I watched on the green TV screens :D , long range RADAR! I also once saw one do a photo pass from the ground. I grew up 20 miles from Cape Canaveral and watched a lot of missile shots as a kid! My best description of an SR-71 pass is a Ballistic Missile flying horizontal! I would guess 60-70K feet, maybe more and it still went horizon to horizon in no time!
