Ohio Invasion

Attention CACC members! I will be invading the DC area this Memorial day weekend! Hopefully we can hook up with you saturday morning at the Vienna. Where is that in relationship to Alexandria? Anyone going to be checking out Rolling Thunder that weekend?

Couple of things. When I saw the title of this thread I thought "Who the hell would want to invade Ohio?":p After reading it, it makes more sense. Second, Memorial Day weekend is not until the end of May, I doubt anyone from the CACC has any idea what they'll be doing on a weekend 4 months from now. You might be better seeing what they're up on MLK weekend.:p

(waiting for a bite me response)

OK then, bite me;)

I don't expect any one to know for sure that they will be at the Vienna that particular Saturday! I am one of those plan early types. As we get into May, I will contact everyone in and see what is up. Looking forward to the trip.\

Probably a better thread title would have been CACC Invasion. But from what I recall there was a pretty good Ohio Invasion from the CACC group last year at DVSF! Are you all still planning on attending?

If Kirk is in town I imagine that he will be coming with us to the Vienna that Saturday, of course assuming that you are all meeting that day. Kirk Lippold was the Captain of the USS Cole when it was bombed in Yemen. He is a bit of a motor head and I would imagine Dad will extend an invite to him to join us.

My father always participates in Rolling Thunder every year. This year I think he will take more of a spectator role in order to be with his 20 or so guests for his birthday!

I did find out that the Vienna Inn is only 19 miles from Dad's place. But in DC traffic that can be about a two hour drive! Thank god it is on a Saturday.

Hope to see you all then, a little DVSF warm up!

Nope.:) But I could get to DC in a hurry if I wanted to.

Come on down! The more the merrier!

I suspect unless the world ends before then, we will be at the grease-up bright and early. We arrive about 0730. Look for the line of cobras out back.

Hey Rick,

I've only found one or two Saturdays when we have not been at the VI.... and the club was doing it's thing for a local blood drive... or at the fling!

Traffic in DC on a Saturday morning is a piece of cake....... but for you midwesterners it might look like rush hour :D

It's about a 60 mile one way trip for me and I can do it in about an hour.

By all means try to stop by..... we'll make you feel right at home...

Sounds good. I can not imagine why we would not be there. As the time approaches, we will talk again!

The week end is approaching! I will be at the Viena Inn at 7:30 sharp the morning of Saturday May 29! A little pre-Fling fling?

There may be a Naval Comander of note with us. He is a Cobra fan and a avid bike rider but I don't beleive that he has ever had a ride in a Cobra. Any one care to see if they can scare this guy with a ride?

"Bite me" is right.

I thought this thread was going to be about the cicadas coming...
Wonder what the Zaino brothers will say about this?
:D
