Hey Doc!! Come on out anyway, this is going to be a great meet!! Do you realllllly have to go to Santa Cruz and miss all the Cobras and your friends?? You dont need to be driving one, just bring Cobra build stories and come rub elbows!! Its great fun!!

So, what time are we planning on meeting at Castle Museum?

We going for Breakfast or Lunch?

My vote would be closer to the noon hour.

I will try to make it. but that late kinda makes it hard for me! sat.the 21 is a race day and i need to be in hanford by 2or3 at the latest. jim

Atwater sounds good to me - is the restaurant there any good or is it the plane gawking that is the real attraction....

Jamo 04-10-2007 01:12 PM

Burgers, sandwiches...edible. Planes muy goodo. Nice little store...cool models. Right to the left of the entrance to where we autocrossed.

800hp,

Would double digit AM time (10 or 11) be any better for you to make the race over in Hanford?
Much earlier than 9AM and I'm not sure how anxious my passenger will be ready to get moving at that hour.

cindrrrr 04-10-2007 03:44 PM

I would vote on 10:00 am, no later than 11:00. The earlier the better for me as long as its not 8 am......

Jamo 04-10-2007 08:07 PM

I'm good for 10 or 11...looks like the museum opens at 10...don't know about the cafe.

800hp 04-11-2007 09:45 AM

yea 10 sounds good that gives me plenty of time. Jim

PatBuckley 04-11-2007 09:51 AM

10 or 11 works for me as well.

Maybe there is an autocross there that day?

Jamo 04-11-2007 05:05 PM

Nope...checked the SCCA...they have one on the 28th. Be a kick to watch the GT40 autocrossing. :p

Rick Parker 04-11-2007 11:12 PM

21st isn't a good weekend for me. I am on rotation to do the "W" word.:(

Good News! The American Auto X Series is at Castle the 21st. It is the series Cobras are good at. $35.00 to enter. All big bore American Iron. Corvettes, Mustangs, and purpose built cars. Go get em.......I'm sure there will be at least 1 CSX3 series car with a fresh (very fresh 700+ hp bullet). Typically very high speed course.

wish I could be there, although my cobra still hasn't been painted yet. I will be out of town but look forward to the next meet. Would love to see the GT-40 also. Jeff McKay

Jamo 04-15-2007 12:42 PM

So what...mine's not painted either.

cindrrrr 04-15-2007 12:48 PM

my mufflers still need to be re-coated, and thats from last year.....but that would mean down time, and I would rather be on the road with it with funny looking mufflers than down time!!!
:D :D

atmking 04-16-2007 01:09 AM

Yeah, but mine is in the shop torn apart and trying to get the body work finished up so they can get it in the paint booth... hopefully within the next four weeks it will be finished.

PatBuckley 04-19-2007 09:50 AM

Damn - I have to pass on this week end.

Jamo 04-19-2007 10:47 AM

Given the news here in Fresno this morning, not really feeling like a cruise.

Cvcc / Ds

CVCC,
I wonder if I could lean on you guys a bit for something, quickly. Many of you were very close with Dick. I knew Dick too, and I'd seem him regularly during our yearly trip to Pacfic Grove/Monterey for the historics (Saturday Dinner in PG) and over recent years through his support of us all at WSCB. I have a lot of pictures of him with us in Monterey, and a few cherished ones of he and I; but I need yours to pulls something together and soon.

REQUEST:
What I would like to ask for is ONE great picture from each of you together with him, or any outstanding picture to include in an upcoming tribute series for our Friday night gathering this year. Many people there are going to want to see these photos and celebrating his life. I have one of he/I at Sears point that's been hanging in my garage for years, and I'll cherish it forever; you know, that kind of photo... send ONE each to wscb@comcast.net so I can include it as we figure out what we can put together. Thank You. DC

I'll repost this on the WSCB thread as well. Duane
