Switching Speedos

DV, I am going to replace the 120 MPH VDO electronic speedometer with a Kirkham reversing 180 MPH unit. Do you have a schematic or layout of the std VDO plug ins or any suggestions as to an easy way to do this? They are both 3 /38" units so the size will be the same.

Jim,
I'm not familiar with Toms Reverse gauge. Being both (?) are electric Tom should have the right Hall Sensor to use. swap shouldn't be a problem. Mechanical, you will ned a convertor from Tom so the cable is reversing its normal direction. Shouldn't be a problem at all, just money!

DV,

Thanks for the quick comeback. Both Speedo's are electronic. I was wondering about the electrical side of the hookup. I received what appears to be a pickup with the Kirkham speedo. I was wondering if the VDO pickup and the Kirkham run the same. I can see me really screwing this up:JEKYLHYDE.
