DV: Gasket Material for Side Pipes ?

DV: Your suggestion on the material for the gasket in-between the side pipes and headers ? With the gasket, use a sealant ? If so, which one ?

Any other hints.......

..........thanks

Don,
Not to sound petty, but I haven't used any gasket since the first Cobra I built.
I use 3M's gold Hi-heat Silicone, or the same in black. I coat the headers only with a full coat, circling each tube. Instantly attach the sidepipes, let it cure for 24 hours and trim off the excess with a razor blade.

You can fire it up 20 minutes after the two parts are attached, I just give it the extra time to cure before trimming.

Hope this helps.....
