Just a short and quick update....Finally getting a chance to get caught up since the weather broke 40! This is a conversion from Cpteddys "Slush Box" to a more traditional tranny! Thanks to "Forte's Parts" the switch was relatively simple with the normal with P/I/A situations! http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/s...//ppuser/10119 Nice to see everyone again! DV |
Welcome Back
YOUR car looks good. I always figured that Cobras should be manual but then I am OLD school:LOL:. Welcome back DV we have missed you.

What is the status of the 767Jockey project?

S....
Just sent Computerworks a breakdown of whats going on. Do you know Doug's car is 70% complete? Painted? I'm missing a motor- and tranny which his car is ready for. Wiring is mostly done, etc., etc. Lots of smaller things to do but I do have three other contracts to full fill at the same time. (Doug knows this and we have been in touch on a regular basis.) Biggest problem I'm having this winter is the #@%! weather! I need at least 55 degrees in the shop to work. I have a supplemental heat system along with propane but this winter at $1,000.00 a month for heat isn't cutting it! Yesterday, low 30's, 24 hrs of snow! As of this morning, high is expected in low thirty's with it getting colder over the next five or six days. Accumelating snow up to four inches, etc., etc. It is coming...just not as quick as any of us wants to see. Sorry for not updating his thread sooner, but not much to update really. DV PS. Mrmustang sent a camera for pictures two months ago! I simply have not had the room to open all the boxes and spread out the parts which would/will take up over half my shop floor! But, I will as soon as it is possible! Pss. The donations: In case you or anyone else is concerned about the money donations, Doug as far as I know is the only one in charge of the donations! The only funds I have used is for the transportation of his car. Just so you/everyone knows! |
Hang in there ED before you know it it will be summy and 75 degrees out side and youll be to busy to notice it........

You're right Bob. Sadly the summer in the up of Michigan only lasts for one day:LOL:.

DV, thanks for the update. In one of my former lives I used to travel in Mich. and I know what the weather can be like. Solve the problem like I did, move south. I figured out that there is life without winter.

When I left/retired from Col's. P.D. I gave my wife the choice of living anywhere in the continental U.S.A. ................... |
DV, I've made my share of mistakes too......and still making them.

DV, as we've discussed many times, take your time. I'm so appreciative for all that you've volunteered to do. What you and all the great guys here on the site have set up still amazes me. I'm slowly getting my strength and energy back, maybe the car and it's driver will be ready at the same time!
As to the money raised, I have a small part of it here, hoping to find a real steal on a pair of used Edelbrock heads for the 390 FE. It's a longshot, but I'm patient. The rest of the money is still in the capable hands of DCDoug, virtually untouched. Looking at a map of where you live, I'd guess that the summers up there are likely relatively short, but no doubt wonderful, with that big beautiful lake likely right out your front door. No pressure from me, DV. Do what you have to do, I'll get myself back up to speed in the meanwhile. To all, thanks for keeping me and the project in your thoughts! Doug |
Doug (767), Nice to hear you are getting stronger. Good luck on the heads. We'll all be happy when you get the car and get behind the wheel. Send in pics.
