Front suspension again

Just finished third trip to the alignment shop in a month. Upper control arms don't seem to want to stay put. Shop has been real good about it, no complaining, and no additional payment, but this has got to cease.

Do any of you know of a MII upper control arm locating kit that rotates the arm 90 degrees, and aligns with shims? I'd like to just buy one if anyone makes them. Otherwise, I'll have to design and fabricate one.

Alignment

I had the same problem on my Classic but I was only going to have it happen once. Here's what I did after the first time.

I took 4 pieces of 1" x 3/8" x apx. 3" long pieces of steel. At one end I rounded the end and about 1/2" down I drilled and tapped a 1/4-20UNC hole. I then had a good welding shop weld them on the inside of the frame (engine side) where the tapped holes were in line with the hold down bolts. I then used some bolts and lock nuts to put pressure toward the outside on the part.
I then had a machine shop make me some small parts with another tapped hole that would clip into the slot on the other side. This would put pressure toward the inside of the car. I have not had a problem since including running over rumble curbs at Willow Springs. The alignment shop loved the setup, they could slowly tweak the alignment in exactly without having to use a pry bar. If you want further information, I can email you some pictures and possibly I might still have a copy of the machine drawing around.

Let me know

Can you e-mail me a shot or two of this setup? jwalsh21@ix.netcom.com Thanks.
