Build Hours

While I guess no two builds could be exactly alike, I was wondering if anyone out there with any experience on a CRII kit could comment on the following:

Hours to install the wiring harness (some tell me to ditch it and go with a Painless wiring kit)?

Hours to install the Engine, transmission and drive axle?

Hours to cut the door webbing and mount the body?

Hours to install a steering column (IDIDit brand)?

Ranges would be fine, the guesses I've received thus far for this work are 20-25 hours for the Engine, transmission and drive axle. 25-30 hours on the wire harness and dash. 15 hours on cutting the door webbing and mounting the body. 4-5 hours to install the steering column.

For installing the doors, Double Venom has a great write up that will save allot of time in alligning the doors up. Follow that and you should be able to mount the body and allign the doors... Doing it this way will probably take 12 hours (+/- 6 hours) depending on how confident and how well you understand the process.

I used a body saw to cut the door webbing which worked good... If I were to do it again, I would use masking tape to create a trace line to cut against (which would help make the cuts even more straight).
