Wish list - Classic Roadster Missing Parts

Thought I'd check to see if anyone has any of these sitting around:

Side vents
Black Side Curtains
Black Carpet
Glove Box

Probably other things I'm not thinking of, but this is a start.

If you have any of these, please send me an email or PM.

Thanks for your time.

MC,
Just in case you didn't know, all that parts you have listed are proprietary parts for a CR. None of your listed parts will swap out to FF, Everett Morrison, Shell Valley etc.. As far as the vents go, most will work but will need some modifications to the body.

Is this what you're looking for? If so, I'll FedEx it to ya for ten bux.

I have no idea what that second piece of metal is for, and I'm not sure if it's part of the glove box assembly. But I'll throw that in the box, too.

I built a Classics Roadsters Cobra about 12-13 years ago, and this is left over.

Bob,
That little metal plate is for the License plate/light support. Goes between the body and the license plate holder. (Another little item never mentioned in the build manual!.)

Thank you, bobcowan. I'll take it. Sent you a PM.

DV, as always, thanks for your input.

Anyone else have left overs? I don't know what I don't know, so I may need your spare parts as well.

Thanks.

I have door hinges and a complete pedal assembly for a manual trans.

MotorcityCobra 04-10-2013 07:46 PM

TCRIST, Would you happen to know the ratio on the brake pedal of your pedal assy? The one I have seems to be a bit too small of a ratio to run manual brakes. Thanks.

tcrist 04-10-2013 09:21 PM

Looks like 4 to 1.

It is 10" from the center of the pivot to the center of the pedal and 2 1/2" from the center of the pivot to the center of the hole for the clutch cable.

MotorcityCobra 04-11-2013 07:38 PM

Thanks for checking, TCRIST.

Sounds like your pedal assy is what I have. I believe something more in the 6:1 ratio is recommended with manual brakes.

Thanks again.

tcrist 04-11-2013 08:37 PM

Checked online and you are correct on the ratio depending on the master cylinder bore size, see link.http://www.mpbrakes.com/uploads/docu...alratiopdf.pdf

Re calculating my assembly (I measured the clutch pedal not the brake pedal). The brake pedal is 12" from pivot to center of pedal and the brake rod hole measured 3.75. Which equals a 3.2-1 ratio.

My pedal assy is probably still the same as yours, just trying to get the correct calculations.

M-C,
Don would change the 6:1 ratio by re-drilling the mounting holes in the pedal box for the pedal.

Now you need to know your geometry---Not for me at this tender age!

I have quite a few parts for the CR around. And can recreate almost any part. A lot of our parts can be used to upgrade your CR as well. Cheak out my Gallerie to see the parts.

MaSnaka 04-12-2013 06:11 PM

I changed the brake pedal ratio by modifying the existing pedal. Pictures in my gallery if that helps.

Sorry no spare parts.

John
