Driveline angle - Should the engine be slightly tilted towards the rear?
I am measuring up the distance needed for the driveshaft that I need built and looking that the engine/tranny, I notice that it's tilted slightly backwards.
Should the engine tranny be straight horizontal to the ground or is it supposed to be tilted slight towards the back of the car?

I believe your asking is the tail shaft (transmission/Engine) angle downhill from front to rear. The build of the car would dictate this.
What is important is the relationship between the tail shaft and the pinion CL. It should be close to parallel to a 1 to 2 degree down angle on the pinion on a straight rear. Different setups require different degrees of pinion angle.

Google pinion angle. I think you will find plenty of info.
