Need help with throttle cable adjustment
I am running a fuel injected engine, I mounted the cable to the intake and rigged the other end of the cable to connect the the gas pedal arm. My problem is that the throttle completely opens yet there is is still plenty of travel left in the gas pedal...
What did you guys do to get the gas pedal trial to match the throttle? Thanks |
Just a couple of suggestions. When I had my Cobra I made the cable the right length to have the throttle wide open when the gas pedal was on the floor. Others that I have seen used a stop under the gas pedal that was adjustable so they could adjust it to hit the stop when the throttle was wide open.

+1 for adjustable stop under the pedal.
Only way to be sure when you mash it, that the pedal hits a positive stop and doesn't stress the cable or mounts. |
