hard top

hello all.

progress on launching the revised ccr kits is coming along nicely.

one development we are working on currently.

we are going to bee offering the hard top as an option with the kits and want to see how much interest we can get from current CRI and CRII kit owners for a glass rear window for the hard top. I have a few people interested but if I can get some firm commitments ill find out about pricing and do a pre order for the tops. again if there is enuff interest in a top, ill go ahead and develop the proper hold down system and the rear glass window.

will also start to develop side windows for the car

Why is the aluminum car on every post? It's pretty and all but damn.

Wisconsin_Snake 03-06-2016 11:44 AM

I'd be interested... Need to get idea on price though.
Are you going to be offering the convertible tops? (I need the brackets as I already have the top).
Also are you going to be offering roll bars?

Double Venom 03-09-2016 04:16 AM

Brian,
You NAILED IT. Coming up with a much needed hardware tie down should be a #1 priority.
GLASS FOR THE REAR WINDOW WOULD BE GREAT..........BUT, weight was the original concern.

Just so you know for every "50" CR's sold, it was 50/1.2 hardtop.
50/30 soft tops.

I would be interested in hard top depending on price. would the tops include all trim and hardware to install?

moore_rb 03-11-2016 07:19 AM

Ryan-

I saw your PM to me about the rear glass, and yes- I'm definitely still on board for a hard top for my car; and the more complete you make it (glass, hardware, weatherstrip, etc), the more onboard I'm going to be...

Hard Top

Hi,
It would be something I'd want living in the WET coast here. My last open roadster had 1/2" holes in the floor to let the 2'' of rain water out:CRY:
The top would have to have a strong tie down as I race my cobra and it has to stay on at 130 mph.
Good price for top as ordering a kit, shipping, etc is already a big cost.
Perry.

please add me to the list of those who are interested. Extending the season here in Montana would be really nice !

Plackster 03-15-2016 10:57 PM

A hard top would be a nice addition. Absolutely a great idea. In addition to the other posts suggestions I would like to see this come to fruition.

So Ed DVDcombs how many hard tops do you think are out there?

MaSnaka 04-08-2018 09:17 PM

This isn't DV but he said 1.2 per 50 Cr's. How many Cr's are out there? I only know of a handful so I'm guessing 1 hard top.

Ryan deserves a permanent place on Exile Island. To those new folks coming along and reading this be sure to research him here an other places about his deceptive business practices. He's not a good guy to do business with. Demand escrow on anything you do with him. Do not pay in advance or you'll likely see nothing except your money disappear into a black hole.

There may be other places to get hard tops but he is not one.

Bulldog, If you happen to get in touch with this POS, tell him HighPlainsDrifter, Would like a word with him. Or should I say a piece of him.
