CR parts help

Hi,
I need help as some parts of my CR have to be replaced brake master gas tank gas tank sender and seal kit gas pedal holley carburator seal kit thanks !!! |
I think most people use an early 70's corvette brake master cylinder.
I recently changed up my fuel system. The fuel pick-up and sender looked just like yours. I just cleaned up the float, cut off the rusty fuel tube and added another. (Actually put an in tank pump in it.) I was surprised that the tank was very clean when I opened it up. The tank is not sourced from another vehicle so you would have to find something that fits or have one made if yours is bad. Just buy some cork gasket material and cut out a sender seal. A carburetor rebuild kit for your model Holley should have all the seals you need. Good luck. -Greg |

I don't think a specific one was used.
If you pull the carb, there should be numbers on it identifying which one it is. For the gas tank, as said it was made specifically for the CR. There are "gas tank coat" stuff you pour into the gas tank and swoosh it around. It creates a seal inside the gas tank. Use the search box to check on your questions, but I went through my gas tank and pulled the sending unit and just cleaned it up and reused the unit. Later I found, while searching, that the sending unit is GM and most likely a Chevy Chevette unit. Make sure you get a good ground on that sending unit or it won't work.

On the choke horn, the carb will have a list #. Copy that number and you can look it up on Holley’s web site. That should be an easy rebuild.
The master does look like an early Corvette style. If you have manual brakes, it would be an early 70’s version. You can pick them up cheap. I think I paid $15 for thr rebuilt one from the auto parts store last time I bought one. |

the master has this serial stamped #5460346 and it seems to be DELCO 18M72/19176100 the tank I will make with Tankerite or POR15 and will try to fix sender for carburetor I found CJPony Holley Carburetor Rebuild Kit 4160 Series 4V... will be suitable ? gas pedal... any suggestion ? |
I do not know about the number, but it has a large bowl in the front and rear, so it has to be from a GM car with 4 wheel disk brakes. I will put money on it that it came from a Corvette. Go to Rockauto and look up a 1972 Corvette with manual brakes and you will see quite a few options. The are in the mid $20 range.
You will need the list number to buy the correct kit unless they are selling a super generic kit. You carb is pretty nice since you have metering blocks int he front and rear. You might want to pick up a set of jet extensions for the front and rear and a cam kit. You can really make them run with a bit of fiddling. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...parts/122-5000 |

You are right, for master cylinder I can save $50...
For carburetor, model should be near choke housing but couln't find yet... On valve covers there is M/T, what does it mean ? Air filter seems a bit small ? |

I cleaned pickup tube as it's custom made, sensor is screwed to plate I would have to check lenght and curve
On sensor I have this part #835400-1 but couldn't find, gauge is SW so should be 240 / 33 |

Hi I used a 1975 5.0 mustang master cylinder on my cr car done part # 10-1602

Master cylinder was from C3 Corvette, brake hoses from 1978 Mustang II
I had my tank fixed with Tankerite Fuel level sending unit I found on Ebay Datcon type, 240-33 ohms, 6”- 24” adjustable as gauge is from Stewart Warner and hope would work now I have to replace all shock absorbers and rubber bushing any idea about gas pedal ? |
